Building a Case for Safety and Security in Construction Through Digital and 5G

As small construction companies head further down the path toward digital transformation, it is essential that they prioritize safety and security both on the job site and fortechnology. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, construction workers sustained more than 150,000 injuries in 2021, and more than 950 of them were fatal. Beyond physical security, small and medium-sized construction companies (i.e., those with 1–999 employees) are also worried about securing networks, systems, and technologies as they invest in digital transformation. Rapid and secure connectivity, supported by 5G, lays the foundation for a safe and secure construction business. This paper explains the connection between reliable connectivity and security among construction businesses.
