Now in its eighth year, the report shows that brand relevance matters more than ever. Prophet asked 11,500 U.S. consumers which brands they couldn’t imagine living without. What we found is, that relevance is critical to building loyalty and winning with consumers. The most relevant brands find ways to achieve uncommon growth. They do this by appealing to the consumers’ head and heart. But this year a new pattern emerged: while delivering on functional needs remains critical, there’s a notable shift towards brands that spark human connection and joy.
